The Golden Loom brings focus to the impact of textiles on the earth. In 2018, a dye garden was started in the backyard of Rachel’s apartment in Oakland, CA. This garden produces a variety of pigment filled flowers, roots and seeds used to replace the common synthetic dyes that are poisoning our waterways. These plants are used to produce color for a variety of projects as well as part of extensive research.
